CSI Center for Social Innovation – Cyprus

Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) is a Research and Development organization which focuses on fostering social innovation that can bring about a positive change to local, national, regional and global contexts. CSI belief, is that the four pillars of Social Interaction, Education, Development and Economic Rationalization coupled with fundamentally sound and sustainable solutions as well as disruption to streamlined solutions to systemic social problems can lead to creative solutions that impact significant change to the social fabric of every society. CSI is working closely to address market, social, economic and cultural challenges with governments, local administrative agencies, non for profit agencies, commercial entities, and educational institutions. We identify and address systemic challenges through evidence based research, state of the art investigation of global, national, regional and local solutions, developing solutions by taking into consideration the local ecosystem, cultural dynamics, meet the stakeholders needs and implementing those solutions as we keep constant vigilance to ensure continual feedback loop and adjustments. The feedback mechanisms and processes we employ allow us certainty in keeping in touch with our stakeholders and continually update our social solutions proposition. CSI team is composed of open-minded, fully equipped researchers, educators, VET Trainers, social entrepreneurs, project managers, trainers and Information Technology Developers. CSI encompasses the capability and capacity to identify social needs, design and implement adjusted initiatives and project and provide for sustainable growth. The areas of expertise are in the fields of Vocational Education and Training, labor market, rural sustainable development, education and e-learning, social entrepreneurship, project management, project evaluation services, product validation, and training.

UAB Kauno Petrasiunu darbo rinkos mokymo centras – Lithuania

UAB „Kauno Petrašiūnų darbo rinkos mokymo centras“ has organized specialists of various different professions since 1958. It is a modern and constantly improving the VET institution, but also with deep roots and extensive teaching experience. The main VET centre activity – give trainings for adults seeking to get a profession or improve their qualification. It also helps companies to get qualified employees, implement the education policy, provide vocational training services, and meet vocational training needs of Kaunas region and other areas.
The strategy of our centre – to work effectively in the implementation and development of adult vocational training, oriented to Lithuanian and EU labour markets. We constantly look for partners, increase co-operation opportunities in case to improve the experience in the preparation of EU projects and the participation in them. Institution intensively cooperates with the country’s labour exchanges, municipalities and employers that unemployed will be able to improve their skills by learning new specialities. The training is organized by various training programs, providing construction finisher, painter, masons, winter proof maker of buildings, bricklayer, joiner – machine operator, hydro operator, welder with electricity and gas, electrical Forklift driver, social services, health and safety, art, floral, greenery maintenance, sewing and other areas of professional qualifications.

C.I.P. CITIZENS IN POWER – Cyprus

C.I.P. is an independent non-profit, non-governmental organization that addresses the needs and demands of people through their involvement in social and civic life, by simultaneously providing them innovative material and free trainings related to a variety of fields, such as education (including on-line education), inclusion, entrepreneurship and business, culture, labour market and lifelong learning. CIP mainly aims at the development of education, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning in Cyprus and abroad. To achieve these targets CIP has an ongoing collaboration with the leading universities, schools, NGOs and research organizations in Cyprus for the development of projects, training and educational material. CIP retains a valuable network of professional trainers and educational experts experienced in both formal and non-formal education. This particular network is considered competent to contribute to the implementation of activities related to the initiatives of CIP and its partners.

Asociación Valencia Inno Hub – Spain

Innohub is a Spanish non-profit organization born with the objective of putting together talent, technology, as well as personal and professional development. The NGO aims is to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and training actions, supporting the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and employment market. Together with a special focus on disadvantaged society groups and their economic and social inclusion, innohub believes in the necessity of change in the economic model in order to create a more competitive and value-adding economy, facilitating the necessary tools for our companies and individuals, and in this support of young people to make sure said change is perpetuated in time. By mentoring and training Innohub supports young people, entrepreneurs and individuals from disadvantage groups facing different factors of exclusion: youngsters and adults with educational difficulties, empowering them and building their entrepreneurial and self-employment skills. With this intention, Innohub develops many activities to help individuals/organisations to reach their objectives offers: o workshops, training, seminars, and networking related to several topics of interest, especially on innovation, personal development, soft skills, career guidance, entrepreneurship, internationalization and financing; o mentoring to disadvantage groups and wannabe entrepreneurs from different backgrounds; In the last years Innohub gained an important experience in EU projects implementation, which has developed a possibility to reach more individuals and organizations that can take advantage from Innohub services.

IASIS – Greece

IASIS NGO is a non-governmental, non-profit organization active in the field of Social  Inclusion, Mental Health and De-institutionalization, which actively participates in the  psychiatric reform promoted by the Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity and the  European Union. IASIS has an official registration as Private Non-Profit Organization and a  Special Registration in Voluntary Non-Governmental Organizations Lists handled by the  General Directorate of Welfare. The organization also has a Management Competence  System certified by the Special Service / Department of Health and Social Solidarity.  Organization’s main objective is to provide psychosocial support and education to people  who either belong to the range of or are at risk of exclusion, and to adult learners in the  humanitarian field.

We are here for people, places and communities.Our main 5 working areas are; Providing training, creating educational tools, mobilising volunteers to professionalism, project management, promoting entrepreneurship.We value people’s knowledge. Whatever we do we want it to be; manageable, understandable and most importantly meaningful.We want to bring people, places, and projects together to create a sustainable future for a better Sweden, Europe and world.Our action is to design education for all through social inclusion, creativity and resilience.

LAI-MOMO SOCIETA’ COOPERATIVA SOCIALE – Italy

Lai-momo social cooperative, established in 1995, operates in various fields: social and immigration, school and training, communication, publishing. For years it has been engaged in projects for the orientation and integration of foreign citizens: Italian L2 courses, information and specialised consultancy desks, community development projects, workshop activities, training of teachers, linguistic-cultural mediators and local government personnel. In addition to this, it specialises in communication, research, technical assistance and cultural promotion activities on various topics, from immigration and asylum to cultural cooperation with Africa, from European integration to development education. Specifically, projects in the social sector are geared towards promoting the well-being of individuals and groups of foreign origin in difficult situations and have the overall objective of improving the quality of life of individuals and communities. The approach followed is based on supporting the paths of individuals and groups, from a systemic perspective and following a person- and relationship-centred approach, paying attention to all the elements that make up communities and proposing specific support actions. The social sector of the cooperative is structured in areas supervised by coordinators in charge of different projects and by specific staff of experts involved in individual activities, structured in multi-professional working groups. Lai-momo also adheres to the Regional Anti-Discrimination Network promoting information and awareness-raising for individuals and communities and actively collaborating in supporting victims of discrimination. Lai-momo is a founding member of ASGI – Associazione Studi Giuridici Immigrazione (Association for Immigration Law Studies) of the Emilia Romagna Region, with which it has been collaborating for several years. Since its foundation, Lai-momo has been the publisher of the magazine Africa e Mediterraneo, a six-monthly publication that presents dossiers on issues related to the culture and society of African countries and international migration, especially between Africa and Europe.
